Hand harvested from 20yr old vines planted in gneiss and limestone soils at 150m-180m altitude.
Grapes macerated individually in open top vats (steel and old oak) for 2-3 weeks then pressed.
Whole bunch fermentation for Rotburger + Sankt Laurent. Blaufrankisch is destemmed.
Aged for 8 months in old oak foudres
No added sulphites
Great ripeness and power, while managing to retain lots of lively freshness. Bright fruit and well integrated, velvety tannins hold everything together and into a long, firm finish.
