Puligny-Montrachet - Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot - 2017
Burgundy / France
Hand harvested from seven parcels (five of which are in the Enseignères vineyard, which sits below the Montrachet Grand Cru's of Bienvenues and Bâtard) all in clay-limestone soils
Grapes are pressed in whole bunches gently by pneumatic press
Both primary and malolactic fermentations in oak barrels (20% new)
Aged for 11 months in oak barrel (25-30% new) with weekly lees stirring
Beautifully aromatic, with crisp scents of apple, lemon and white flowers. Medium to full bodied with bright acidity, great length and a supple, chalky texture.
